NU-BOND laps requires little if any break-in to produce smooth finishes. These laps scratch and chip less and leave a pre-polish finish. I actually rough cut with a 325 grit NU-BOND lap, fine cut with a 600 grit NU-BOND lap, and then polish with 50,000 diamond on a Batt Lap.
